Fire Extinguisher Safety Reminders

Training does not replace evacuation procedures or emergency response. Your safety always comes first.

  • Evacuate immediately if there is smoke, spreading fire, or an active alarm.
  • Call 911 from a safe location during an emergency.
  • Do not attempt to fight a fire if you are untrained, unsure, uncomfortable, or facing unsafe conditions.
  • Always keep yourself between the fire and a safe exit.
  • Leave immediately if conditions change or your exit becomes unsafe.
